In our vacation, we were planning to go to Garut. The trip to Garut was terrible. From Cirebon, we must first go through Nagreg and Sumedang. Because these two cities were almost covered by mountains and cliffs, the road was very wavy. We have to up and downs. Some of them are very steep.
And what’s worst, we used an automatic car. An automatic car was supposed to be used only for city travelling. So, no surprise, our brake fluid was burnt. My dad said it was all right. But still, it was very dangerous.
And finally we arrived in Garut. We stayed at oom Jannur and tante Min’s house. They are my dad’s friends. They are very nice people. We really enjoy the hospitality that they’ve given. When we arrived at their home, nobody was there. We had to wait for a while for tante Min. a couple of minutes, and she came on an Angkot. We were planning to have lunch somewhere in Garut, but tante Min stopped us. She said that she cooked for us already.
Well, it would’ve been rude if we refused. So, we finally have some lunch in tante Min’s house. She cooked us a pretty pleasant meal. Even if it wasn’t Garut traditional, but we liked it.
