Bogor, Januari 2008. Rujakan? What is that? This is the way Indonesian people eating fruits with tasty traditional "mayonise" made of chilly, palm sugar, salt and fermented shrim. Hmm..yummy! Especially when we eat with "lesehan" way (sitting on the floor/earth) and in front of Istana Bogor (Bogor Palace), the favorite palace of our president Soekarno. We brought om Dan and Tante Lory our hard friends from Michigan USA to see the beauty of Indonesia. They always come and spend somenights at Gang Jambu.
Hmm..mom and dad's memorable and unforgatable place. When we started to begin the relationship in 1989 we visited this place and even forget the rain and the storm..so sweet event.
"I want to have picture with that big tree". This is the way tante Lori reminded us to stop driving and taking picture for them. Tante Lori is right..we should appreciate the beauty of this old botanicus Garden built during British/Dutch colonial Era. Bogor originally was Buitenzorg, important capital city in the past. The collection of this botanicus gardes is so rich with hundreds of bamboos,palms, unique and old trees, herb or even giant ginger and flower of Raflesia Arnoldi (higher than human being).
